Minecraft Bedrock Edition has more than 6,000 confirmed bugs. Many players think the game is full of glitches. Some point to rare bugs, but there are many common ones, too. A recent exploration aimed to uncover these issues. The plan was simple: play Minecraft for 30 minutes and see how many bugs appear.
The first bug surfaced when trying to take a screenshot. The F2 key, meant for screenshots, failed to work. Another bug was noticed when breaking blocks. The animation was darker than intended. The typical gray shade appeared more black. While sprinting and jumping, the player's arms and legs stop moving. These bugs, though not game-breaking, highlight the many small issues present in the game.
Crafting a boat brought another surprise. A fully functional clock appeared, not meant to be in the game. Interacting with an Iron Golem showed pathfinding issues on certain paths. Shields, oddly, take damage when breaking blocks. The magma block bug involves missing fire damage sounds, despite reports. Even the healing effect in Bedrock lacks proper animation.
Continuing the bug hunt, a peculiar bug with slabs and stairs was found. These blocks appear darker than intended, regardless of lighting. While crouching and using a crafting table, eating becomes impossible. Fire charges fail to ignite creepers as expected. Endermen escape traps they should be stuck in. Skeletons fire too quickly, with arrows failing to stick to players.
Maps also show odd behavior. Players fail to appear as arrows when outside the map's bounds. This makes navigation confusing. Another strange bug allows players to use bone meal as dye. Pig spawns are higher in certain biomes. Regular books get the rare item tag instead of enchanted books.
More bugs include shield and banner glitches. Tools enchantments have odd pixelated glows. Structures spawn differently between game versions. Shipwrecks sometimes appear in the sky. Treasure maps often lead to faraway spots.
The exploration found 25 bugs in just over 30 minutes. Many bugs have lingered for years without fixes. This highlights the need for attention to these persistent issues. Players hope these bugs will soon be addressed, making the game smoother and more enjoyable.
